DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The Department of Psychology has been operational since the college’s establishment in 1963, currently featuring two faculty members. Dr. Jitubhai Khaniya assumes the role of Head of the Department, providing academic leadership and direction.

The Department offers a Certificate Course in ‘Stress Management’. The Department is well-endowed with infrastructural amenities, encompassing facilities for Group Discussion, audio-visual teaching aids, a fully equipped laboratory, and WiFi-enabled classrooms. A noteworthy achievement within the Department includes the successful completion of a Minor Research Project by one of its faculty members.

In order to enhance practical understanding of Psychology, the Department organizes annual field visits to Old Age Homes and Mental Hospitals. This experiential approach aims to provide students with real-world insights into the application of psychological principles.
