DEPARTMENT PROFILE

Established concurrently with the college in 1963, the Department of Hindi has been an integral academic unit since its inception. At present, the Department has 03 permanent faculty members and one ad-hoc faculty, all holding the highest academic qualification, namely, Ph.D. The leadership of the Department is entrusted to Dr. Manoj Patel, who serves as both the Principal and the Head of the Department.

Within the college curriculum, Hindi is offered as a major subject, underscoring the department’s commitment to fostering a robust understanding of the language. In response to contemporary demands, the department has expanded its offerings to include subjects such as Journalism. The Department also offers a Certificate Course namely ‘Hindi Anuvad Course’. Notably, the Hindi Department actively contributes to the dissemination of information and knowledge through the publication of the weekly newsletter titled ‘ANAND NEWS’ in the Hindi language. The Department also celebrates Hindi Day every year.
