DEPARTMENT PROFILE

 

Since the establishment of the college in 1963, the Department of Sanskrit has been in operation, currently comprising two permanent faculty members. Prof. Karansinh Parmar holds the position of Head of the Department.

The Department offers a Certificate Course entitled ‘Spoken Sanskrit’. It actively promotes student engagement in community service initiatives, instilling a sense of social responsibility among its members. Additionally, it orchestrates various developmental activities, including Sanskrit Shloka recitations and Quiz competitions, aimed at fostering the comprehensive development of students. These initiatives underscore the Department’s commitment to nurturing a well-rounded educational experience that encompasses academic proficiency as well as broader skills and competencies.
